No. 21 Texas A&M at No. 9 South Carolina
The post-Johnny Manziel era at Texas A&M begins when the Aggies head on the road to face South Carolina Thursday night. Both teams are replacing household names at the quarterback position, but South Carolina has the advantage with Dylan Thompson because Thompson has made a few starts and won some games for the Gamecocks over the last few years. Texas A&M not only has to deal with the loss of Manziel, but last year their defense was one of the worst (and youngest) defenses in the country. If the Aggies stand any chance of pulling of this road win those young players will have to step up and be the difference.
Caleb's Pick- South Carolina 27, Texas A&M 17
Cory's Pick- Texas A&M 24, South Carolina 21
Carter's Pick- Texas A&M 31, South Carolina 27
No. 16 Clemson at No. 12 Georgia
Last year Clemson started off the season strong by grabbing a week one win against Georgia. After the Tigers won that game expectations went sky high, but were grounded pretty quickly when Florida State came to town and trounced the Tigers 51-14. This year the Tigers come in with the same expectations, but now understand that this game will mean nothing if they can't perform in every game like they did against Georgia last year. Georgia on the other hand never really revered from their loss to the Tigers. Sure they won eight games, but compared to where expectations were at the beginning of the season it was a disappointment to a lot of Bulldogs fans. This year things are no different. Georgia lost one of the SEC's best quarterbacks in Aaron Murray, and yet because of their weapons at running back and on the defense they are still expected to contend in the SEC. If Georgia wants to live up to expectations this year they are going to have to take care of business at home against Clemson in order to come out of the gate with some momentum. Otherwise its back to the kennel for the Bulldogs.
Caleb's Pick- Georgia 28, Clemson 21
Cory's Pick- Georgia 31, Clemson 17
Carter's Pick- Clemson 34, Georgia 17
No. 1 Florida State vs Oklahoma State
The reigning champs kick of the 2014 in primetime as they face Oklahoma State in a neutral site game in AT&T Stadium (Cowboys Stadium) in Dallas. Quarterback Jameis Winston will be looking to lead the Seminoles on the road back to AT&T Stadium, where the National Championship game is being held this year. To do that he will have overcome the naysayers and put his team on his back to lead the Seminoles past all of the talent they lost to the NFL last offseason. Oklahoma State had a nice season last year, but couldn't put together all the pieces to truly contend last year. They were the only team in the Big 12 to beat Baylor last year, but couldn't overcome rival Oklahoma in the season finale to win the conference. This year everyone has written off the Cowboys. Nobody gives them a chance of winning the Big 12, much less contending for a national title. If the Cowboys want to put their name back in the spotlight theres no way of doing it any better than coming away with a win against the reigning champs.
Caleb's Pick- Oklahoma State 34, Florida State 31
Cory's Pick- Florida State 42, Oklahoma State 24
Carter's Pick- Florida State 35, Oklahoma State 17
No. 13 LSU vs No. 14 Wisconsin
This game may not be the biggest or flashiest game, but it will probably have more impact on the College Football Playoff than most people realize. For LSU it's all about youth and talent, the Tigers are one of the youngest teams in the nation because of all the talent they have lost to the NFL over the last few years, but they are still also one of the most talented teams in the country. If LSU wants to get a nice non conference win they will have to mature quickly and flash their young talent to beat the Badgers. Wisconsin needs this win in order to stay in contention in the college football playoff. The Badgers play in the weakest Big Five conference at the moment, so picking up a win against one of the top teams in the best Big Five conference could certainly help their stock. Expect an old fashioned game powered by two strong run games and two gritty defenses.
Caleb's Pick- LSU 21, Wisconsin 17
Cory's Pick- Wisconsin 28, LSU 17
Carter's Pick- LSU 42, Wisconsin 17
Utah State at Tennessee
If you're looking for a trendy upset pick, (if you can call it an upset pick) look no further than this game. Tennessee is the only team in the nation that has to replace all of their starters on the offense and defensive lines. Couple that with the fact that over 50% of their team is freshman and sophomores and you can see why the Aggies are the trendy pick. What may be the Vols saving grace is that all of those young players are extremely talented. Head Coach Butch Jones has continually added talent and now is starting to see the fruits of his labor on the field. If Tennessee can put together all the pieces, and overcome their youth, look for the Vols to keep pace with the upset minded Aggies. Quarterback Chuckie Keeton for the Aggies is back from tearing his ACL, and according to various reports he is looking like the Keeton of old. If that is the case, the Aggies have a good chance of pulling the upset when they roll into Neyland on Sunday.
Caleb's Pick- Tennessee 24, Utah State 17
Cory's Pick- Tennessee 45, Utah State 13
Carter's Pick- Tennessee 34, Utah State 10
SMU at No. 10 Baylor
Baylor kicks off the 2014 season facing an SMU team that was pretty solid last year. Everyone knows about Baylor and their offense, everyone knows they're going to put up points, but the question this year for the Bears is if their defense can step up. SMU had a solid 1st year in the new American Athletic Conference, but won only one game out of conference and failed to make a bowl. The Mustangs had one of the best passing attacks in the nation last year, but ranked as one of the worst teams in the nation rushing the ball. If SMU is going to keep up with the Bears they are going to have to learn how to establish a ground game.
Caleb's Pick- Baylor 56, SMU 14
Cory's Pick- Baylor 70, SMU 3
Carter's Pick- Baylor 63, SMU 7

1. Florida State 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Auburn 5. Michigan State 6. Oregon 7. Stanford 8. Ohio State 9. LSU 10. Baylor 11. Wisconsin 12. UCLA 13. Arizona State 14. Oklahoma State 15. Notre Dame 16. USC 17. Washington 18. Clemson 19. Missouri 20. South Carolina 21. UCF 22. Nebraska 23. Vanderbilt 24. Ole Miss 25. Iowa Here are our records after last week.
Caleb 37-11 (.771) Cory 35-13 (.729) Carter 34-14 (.708) Here are this weeks picks. Georgia Tech at No. 8 Clemson Clemson may not be in the thick of things in the ACC with Florida State playing at the level they are, but if the Tigers win out there is a good chance they'll receive an at-large bid to a BCS bowl, making this game a must-win if they want to accomplish that. Georgia Tech still isn't out of the coastal division race, but they also need this win if they want to return to the ACC Championship game again. Caleb's Pick- Clemson 31, Georgia Tech 21 Carter's Pick- Clemson 38, Georgia Tech 17 Cory's Pick- Clemson 45, Georgia Tech 10 Washington at No. 13 UCLA Two of the best offenses in the PAC-12 collide Friday as the Huskies look to gain a marquee win at UCLA. After losing three straight games, Washington is now bowl eligible and looking for a big win. UCLA only has two losses against Oregon and Stanford, but still controls their own destiny in the PAC-12 South. Caleb's Pick- UCLA 35, Washington 31 Carter's Pick- UCLA 34, Washington 10 Cory's Pick- UCLA 38, Washington 17 No. 12 Oklahoma State at No. 24 Texas Since starting off the season 1-2, Texas has now won in a row, and are now in prime position to make a run for the Big-12 title. Oklahoma State still controls its own destiny with only one loss, but would like to get a leg up on Texas in case of a tie break in the end. Caleb's Pick- Texas 28, Oklahoma State 24 Carter's Pick- Texas 41, Oklahoma State 38 Cory's Pick- Oklahoma State 35, Texas 31 No. 16 Michigan State at Nebraska The Spartans are playing some of the best football in the nation right now. Their defense is suffocating, and their offense is a nice complement to them by being a of a run 1st, big play offense. Nebraska is probably the most inconsistent 7-2 team in the nation. The Huskers have blown out some opponents, survived against some, lost in a blowout, and lost a wild game. Look for a low scoring, sloppy game that will come down to who can score when it matters most. Caleb's Pick- Michigan State 21, Nebraska 13 Carter's Pick- Michigan State 31, Nebraska 24 Cory's Pick- Michigan State 27, Nebraska 21 No. 25 Georgia at No. 7 Auburn Both of these teams are the polar opposites of each other heading into Saturday's showdown. Auburn is a run focused offense that focuses on speed and big plays, while Georgia's is a pass 1st offense that uses the run as a complement to set up the passing attack. The winner of this game will be decided by who can shut down the opposing teams offense. Caleb's Pick- Auburn 42, Georgia 38 Carter's Pick- Auburn 28, Georgia 17 Cory's Pick- Auburn 45, Georgia 42 No. 4 Stanford at USC Stanford will be riding high after their huge win over Oregon, so to expect them to be a little sluggish to start is to be expected. USC has recovered from a horrible start to have a chance to still win the PAC-12 South with a win. Look for the Trojans to come out strong, then for Stanford to pull away in the end. Caleb's Pick- Stanford 31, USC 17 Carter's Pick- Stanford 48, USC 24 Cory's Pick- Stanford 28, USC 10 With a HUGE week coming up this week, here are our updated standings.
Caleb 32-10 (.762) Cory 31-11 (.738) Carter 29-13 (.710) Can't go into a lot of detail about each game this week due to work and school, but here are our picks. No. 10 Oklahoma at No.6 Baylor The top two teams in the Big 12 collide in Waco with major BCS implications on the line. Caleb's Pick- Baylor 42, Oklahoma 34 Carter's Pick- Baylor 65, Oklahoma 42 Cory's Pick- Baylor 42, Oklahoma 31 No. 3 Oregon at No. 5 Stanford The top two teams in the PAC-12 meet to decide who will represent the North division in the PAC-12 Title Game. Caleb's Pick- Oregon 45, Stanford 35 Carter's Pick- Stanford 38, Oregon 35 Cory's Pick- Oregon 45, Stanford 24 BYU at No. 24 Wisconsin A clash of two of the hottest teams in college football right now. Look for a lot of rushing yards in a match-up of two of the nation's top rushing schools. Caleb's Pick- Wisconsin 31, BYU 28 Carter's Pick- Wisconsin 31, BYU 24 Cory's Pick- Wisconsin 31, BYU 14 Houston at No. 21 Central Florida An underrated match-up, as two one loss teams in Houston and UCF collide in Orlando. Caleb's Pick- Central Florida 35, Houston 34 Carter's Pick- Central Florida 45, Houston 17 Cory's Pick- Central Florida 28, Houston 10 Virginia Tech at No. 11 Miami Miami will try to rebound from the tough loss against Florida State at home vs. Virginia Tech and one of the nation's best defenses. Caleb's Pick- Virginia Tech 28, Miami 24 Carter's Pick- Miami 48, Virginia Tech 24 Cory's Pick- Miami 24, Virginia Tech 21 No. 13 LSU at No. 1 Alabama Alabama and LSU meet once again, and although LSU isn't as strong as usual, look for this to be as good of a game as it has been in recent years. Caleb's Pick- Alabama 28, LSU 21 Carter's Pick- Alabama 28, LSU 3 Cory's Pick- Alabama 45, LSU 38 Here are our updated standings.
Caleb 28-8 (.777) Cory 28-8 (.777) Carter 26-10 (.722) Here are this weeks picks. USC at Oregon State The Trojans are a solid team at best again, but Oregon State looks like a PAC-12 contender despite its opening week loss at home to Eastern Washington. Beavers QB Sean Mannion leads the FBS in passing yards and passing touchdowns, and is on pace to break every passing record in NCAA history. USC has been the definition of inconsistency, but have played solid since the firing of former head coach Lane Kiffin. Caleb's Pick- Oregon State 31, USC 21 Carter's Pick- Oregon State 48, USC 24 Cory's Pick- Oregon State 31, USC 17 No. 24 Wisconsin at Iowa The Badgers are one of the best two loss teams in the country, having only lost to Arizona State and Ohio State by a combined nine points. If it weren't for a few bad calls and missed plays the Badgers could've been in the top 10 right now. Iowa on the other hand has also done well, already exceeding their win total from last year with one game to go. This game will come down to which defense can make stops, and to who can execute a balanced offensive attack. Caleb's Pick- Wisconsin 28, Iowa 13 Carter's Pick- Iowa 24, Wisconsin 21 Cory's Pick- Wisconsin 38, Iowa 27 Georgia vs. Florida Time for some fun in Jacksonville. This game will eliminate one team from the SEC East race, while the other will still have a shot if Missouri can lose two more games. Florida's defense is one of the best in the country, but their offense is one of the worst and can't even move the ball at times. Georgia has been beaten and battered with the injury bug all year, but RB Todd Gurley will be back in this game, which I believe will be the difference. Caleb's Pick- Georgia 24, Florida 20 Carter's Pick- Georgia 24, Florida 17 Cory's Pick- Georgia 35, Florida 17 No. 21 Michigan at No. 22 Michigan State Both of these team have a lot on the line coming into this one. Michigan State has been flying under the radar this season, but the Spartans have one of the most impressive defenses in the country this year, and now their offense is finally coming into its own now too, making them a legitimate threat in the Big 10 Legends division. Unlike the Spartans, Michigan has had the spotlight on them all year. The Spartans have played solid against powers like Notre Dame and Minnesota, but have struggled to beat lowly UConn and Akron. This game will depend on which Michigan team shows up to play. Caleb's Pick- Michigan State 27, Michigan 21 Carter's Pick- Michigan 32, Michigan State 28 Cory's Pick- Michigan 21, Michigan State 17 No. 18 Oklahoma State at No. 15 Texas Tech Both of these teams come in at a crossroads in there season. Oklahoma State has done well up until this point, but still doesn't look like it has had all of its pieces together since their loss to West Virginia. Meanwhile Texas Tech enters after their 1st loss to Oklahoma, and they have also done well minus the loss. Look for the winner of this game to not only get things together during the game, but for them to also pick up momentum for the rest of the season. Caleb's Pick- Texas Tech 38, Oklahoma State 31 Carter's Pick- Texas Tech 38, Oklahoma State 35 Cory's Pick- Texas Tech 35, Oklahoma State 34 No. 7 Miami at No. 3 Florida State If you thought Florida State/Clemson was supposed to be the game of the year for the ACC, you were right if you knew what Jameis Winston was going to do to the Tigers. Now this game for the Seminoles expects to be a little more difficult. Unlike Clemson, Miami is very well balanced on offense, and could really keep up if FSU turns this into a shootout. Miami also has a better defense statistically, and are able to force turnovers when they need them (if you don't believe me just ask Florida). This game will come down to who can make the big plays, and as well all know they don't call Winston 'Famous Jameis' for nothing. Caleb's Pick- Florida State 35, Miami 28 Carter's Pick- Florida State 54, Miami 21 Cory's Pick- Florida State 45, Miami 21 Took a bye week last week due to fall break. Here are our updated standings.
Caleb 25-5 (.833) Cory 24-6 (.800) Carter 22-8 (.733) Here's this weeks picks. No. 10 Texas Tech at No. 15 Oklahoma The Red Raiders fly into Norman as a bit of underrated top ten team. Texas Tech hasn't faced a true test up until this point, but have been dominant and have put away all their previous opponents up until this point. Oklahoma's lone blemish is Texas, and other than their play against the Longhorns they have played pretty well. Look for this game to come down to which defense can make plays against these tough offenses. Caleb's Pick- Oklahoma 31, Texas Tech 27 Carter's Pick- Oklahoma 55, Texas Tech 51 Cory's Pick- Oklahoma 38, Texas Tech 35 Duke at No. 14 Virginia Tech The Hokies are flying high after an impressive 6-1 start, their only loss coming to No.1 Alabama. Virginia Tech's defense has played dominant and their offense is finally starting to play more consistent. Duke has flown under the radar and is quietly a solid 5-2 so far this year. The Blue Devils should give the Hokies a good test and keep them honest before the Hokies meet up with Miami in two weeks. Caleb's Pick- Virginia Tech 28, Duke 17 Carter's Pick- Virginia Tech 34, Duke 24 Cory's Pick- Virginia Tech 24, Duke 7 No. 21 South Carolina at No. 5 Missouri The Gamecocks couldn't manage to get by Tennessee last week and have now given Missouri a two-game advantage in the SEC East. The Tigers have beaten Georgia and Florida in consecutive weeks, and will look to add South Carolina to that list to all but clinch the East. The Gamecocks will be shorthanded and one-dimensional with QB Connor Shaw out for the game, so look for Missouri to capitalize on yet another depleted SEC East foe. Caleb's Pick- Missouri 35, South Carolina 24 Carter's Pick- Missouri 34, South Carolina 28 Cory's Pick- Missouri 45, South Carolina 28 No. 12 UCLA at No. 3 Oregon The key word in this game is offense. Both of these teams have explosive offenses, and can light up the scoreboard without even thinking at times. QB's Brett Hundley and Marcus Mariota are elite future NFL QBs, and will look to boost their stock with this marquee game. This game will come down to the wire, and I believe Oregon's defense is very underrated on a team who's offense takes most of the focus. Caleb's Pick- Oregon 42, UCLA 28 Carter's Pick- Oregon 48, UCLA 24 Cory's Pick- Oregon 48, UCLA 24 Penn State at No. 4 Ohio State The Nittany Lions continue to play well under Head Coach Bill O'Brien, but now face a huge test on the road at Ohio State. The Buckeyes remain unbeaten, but have experienced some tests this season. Both Northwestern and Wisconsin pushed the Buckeyes around, but couldn't pull off the win in the end. Look for this one to fit the same bill, with Ohio State winning in the end Caleb's Pick- Ohio State 35, Penn State 31 Carter's Pick- Ohio State 31, Penn State 24 Cory's Pick- Ohio State 32, Penn State 17 No. 6 Stanford at No. 25 Oregon State "The nation's leading passer Sean Mannion and the Beavers of Oregon State look to continue their hot-streak against the Stanford Cardinal in Corvallis Saturday". Did the opening line sound too generic? Good, because you should expect the same of this game come Saturday. This is your typical match-up of two teams, where one is run first (Stanford), and the other is pass first (Oregon State). Both teams execute two very different game plans, but somehow find a way to win. Their only similarity is that both of these team are very good at stopping the run. With that being said, look for the team who can stop the pass to win the game. Caleb's Pick- Oregon State 38, Stanford 35 Carter's Pick- Stanford 45, Oregon State 38 Cory's Pick- Stanford 24, Oregon State 10 Here are our updated standings
Caleb 20-4 (.833) Cory 20-4 (.833) Carter 19-5 (.792) Here are our picks for this week. Rutgers at No. 8 Louisville Easily the best two teams in the American conference, Louisville looks to put away what should be their only competition the remainder of this season in Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights come in with only 1 loss, and OT match-up in Week 1 to Fresno State. Look for Rutgers to put up a fight early, but for Teddy Bridgewater and Louisville to pull away late. Caleb's Pick- Louisville 31, Rutgers 17 Carter's Pick- Louisville 41, Rutgers 35 Cory's Pick- Louisville 45, Rutgers 10 No. 25 Missouri at No. 7 Georgia The Bulldogs are coming off a scare last week at Tennessee, where the Vols gave them all they could handle. Missouri on the other hand routed Vanderbilt in Nashville and is playing with a lot of confidence. Georgia is banged up all around, and Missouri is clicking on all cylinders, this spells out one thing; upset. Caleb's Pick- Missouri 35, Georgia 27 Carter's Pick- Georgia 38, Missouri 24 Cory's Pick- Georgia 35, Missouri 31 Pittsburgh at No. 24 Virginia Tech All of a sudden the Hokies are now looking like ACC contenders. Their defense is playing like one of the best in the nation, and now look even better compared to what they did to Alabama in Week 1. The Panthers have adjusted well to life in the ACC, but face their 1st true test this week vs Virginia Tech. Pittsburgh has done well so far, but Virginia Tech's defense is too good to get past right now. Caleb's Pick- Virginia Tech 24, Pittsburgh 13 Carter's Pick- Virginia Tech 31, Pittsburgh 24 Cory's Pick- Virginia Tech 24, Pittsburgh 13 No.12 Oklahoma vs. Texas This was the year Texas was supposed to break through. This was supposed to be the year the Longhorns finally beat the Sooners for the 1st time since 2009. Now most experts expect Texas to get routed by an Oklahoma team that has come into it's own with QB Blake Bell. Never count Texas out of the Red River Rivalry game, but its a safe bet Oklahoma will continue their hot streak vs Texas. Caleb's Pick- Oklahoma 31, Texas 21 Carter's Pick- Oklahoma 34, Texas 17 Cory's Pick- Oklahoma 38, Texas 13 No. 17 Florida at No. 10 LSU Florida and LSU come in looking as good as they have been in years. Florida has finally found their QB in Tyler Murphy, although it came at the expense of Jeff Driskel, and LSU's Zach Mettenberger looks like he's the most improved player in the country. Couple those factors with the two great defenses these teams have, and your looking at a heck of a ball game. Caleb's Pick- LSU 28, Florida 24 Carter's Pick- Florida 42, LSU 37 Cory's Pick- LSU 24, Florida 17 No. 2 Oregon at No. 16 Washington This game looks to be a shootout. Both Oregon and Washington have explosive offenses that focus on the run game, and both QBs (Mariota and Price) are at the top of their game. This game will come down to which defense can create stops, and that could honestly be a flip of a coin. Look for this game to come down to who can make plays when they matter and avoid turnovers. Caleb's Pick- Oregon 42, Washington 35 Carter's Pick- Oregon 48, Washington 24 Cory's Pick- Oregon 42, Washington 13 Here are our updated standings
Caleb 15-3 Cory 14-4 Carter 13-5 Here's this weeks picks. No. 25 Maryland at No. 8 Florida State The Terps have been impressive in their 1st four games, winning each of them and doing it in dominating fashion. Meanwhile Florida State has some guy named Jameis Winston who just keeps tearing up opponents. A lor of experts think this is a trap game for the Seminoles and I agree. If Florida State doesn't keep a hold of Maryland, they will go down this week. Caleb's Pick- Florida State 35, Maryland 31 Carter's Pick- Florida State 34, Maryland 10 Cory's Pick- Florida State 38, Maryland 13 No. 6 Georgia at Tennessee Now some may say this game shouldn't be close, but history is on the Vols side in this one. In 2004 Georgia knocked off reigning national champs LSU, only to fall the very next week to two touchdown underdog Tennessee 19-14. In 2009 Georgia was also favored to beat Tennessee, but got blasted 45-19 in what was a horrid effort by the Bulldogs. This year Tennessee may not have an offense, or a defense, but look for the Vols to come out strong and give Georgia a run for their money, cause for some odd reason the Vols always get up to play Georgia. Caleb's Pick- Georgia 35, Tennessee 28 Carter's Pick- Georgia 45, Tennessee 24 Cory's Pick- Georgia 45, Tennessee 24 Minnesota at No.19 Michigan The Gophers aren't exactly the best team in the nation, but with the way Michigan has been playing lately they won't have to be to knock off the Wolverines. Michigan is undefeated, but has struggled in its last two wins against the lowly Akron and UConn. This one should come down to the wire in a low scoring game at the Big House. Caleb's Pick- Michigan 21, Minnesota 17 Carter's Pick- Michigan 28, Minnesota 17 Cory's Pick- Michigan 35, Minnesota 6 Georgia Tech at No.14 Miami Enter the most underrated game of the week. The Hurricanes are riding high after their hot start, but QB Stephen Morris is banged up and isn't 100%. The Yellow Jackets lost a heart-breaker at home last week to Virginia Tech, but still have a lot of weapons to contend with. Look for the Yellow Jackets to keep this game interesting, and Miami to overcome some obstacles in what could be a high scoring shootout. Caleb's Pick- Miami 38, Georgia Tech 28 Carter's Pick- Miami 28, Georgia Tech 24 Cory's Pick- Miami 38, Georgia Tech 17 No. 4 Ohio State at No. 16 Northwestern The Buckeyes pulled out a win last week vs. Wisconsin and will now have to switch their focus to a very dangerous Northwestern team. The Wildcats have only one win against Ohio State in its last 20 or so meetings, but this year they will probably have their best team they have ever had ready to play the Buckeyes in Evanston. This has trap game written all over it for Ohio State, but look for this to be a tightly contested match-up that will come down to who can make big plays in the 4th quarter. Caleb's Pick- Northwestern 31, Ohio State 28 Carter's Pick- Ohio State 43, Northwestern 20 Cory's Pick- Ohio State 52, Northwestern 35 No. 15 Washington at No. 5 Stanford Right now the Stanford Cardinal look like one of the top 5 teams in the nation. They are bruising people with their defense, and putting up great numbers on offense. Washington has an explosive offense, but it remains to be seen how good their defense is. Stanford will be the favorite in this game, but if they come out flat footed look for Washington to take advantage and make this a close one. Caleb's Pick- Stanford 35, Washington 24 Carter's Pick- Stanford 31, Washington 20 Cory's Pick- Stanford 38, Washington 17 Here are our updated standings through two weeks.
Caleb 10-2 Cory 9-3 Carter 8-4 Now here's this weeks picks. No. 12 South Carolina at UCF The Gamecocks are coming off of a well needed bye week to face a UCF team that is playing some really good football right now. QB Blake Bortles for the Knights has been the definition of consistency throwing for over 800 yards and 7 touchdowns, as well as adding a rushing score as well. Meanwhile South Carolina has been very inconsistent on defense and hasn't truly played up to their potential yet. This could be a trap game for South Carolina, and if there isn't any improvement on defense, look for UCF to make things interesting for the Gamecocks. Caleb's Pick- South Carolina 35, UCF 24 Carter's Pick- UCF 24, South Carolina 21 Cory's Pick- South Carolina 41, UCF 31 No. 6 LSU at No. 9 Georgia In this weeks match-up of top 10 teams, LSU heads on the road to take on Georgia, the 1st time Georgia has faced an LSU or Alabama team in the regular season since 2009. LSU has played beyond expectations so far this year due to the fact their offense has now become dangerous and their young defense has stepped up to fill in the shoes of those who left for the draft last year. The Bulldogs have played well so far, but their defense is definitely playing up to par after allowing 21 points to North Texas last week. Whoever wins this game may position themselves to challenge Alabama for the SEC crown. Caleb's Pick- LSU 34, Georgia 31 Carter's Pick- Georgia 27, LSU 21 Cory's Pick- LSU 24, Georgia 17 No. 14 Oklahoma at No. 22 Notre Dame In what was a game with national title implications last year has just become a match-up of ranked opponents Saturday. Oklahoma has played two QBs over their 1st three games and neither has positioned them self to take the starting role (although QB Blake Bell dominated an over-matched Tulsa squad). Notre Dame on the other hand has struggled to pull out victories after falling to Michigan. QB Tommy Rees has done a solid job replacing Everett Golson, but the Irish truly miss Golson's ability to create plays when under pressure. Unlike last year, the only thing the winner of this game will have is nothing more than a solid non-conference victory. Caleb's Pick- Oklahoma 28, Notre Dame 21 Carter's Pick- Oklahoma 34, Notre Dame 24 Cory's Pick- Oklahoma 42, Notre Dame 35 No. 21 Ole Miss at No. 1 Alabama This game has the smell of a trap game all over it. Ole Miss is playing some of the best football in the country, while Alabama allowed a weak Colorado State team to hang around for a bit last week. If Alabama plays like they did last week, Ole Miss will come into Tuscaloosa and knock off Alabama. If only it were that simple though. Look for Nick Saban to have his guys ready to tackle an Ole Miss squad that would like nothing more than to defeat No.1 Alabama at home. Caleb's Pick- Alabama 28, Ole Miss 17 Carter's Pick- Alabama 31, Ole Miss 24 Cory's Pick- Alabama 45, Ole Miss 17 No. 23 Wisconsin at No. 4 Ohio State The Badgers should be undefeated right now if it wasn't for a botched call against Arizona State. Wisconsin has been sitting under the radar this year so far, so just like with Ole Miss/Alabama, this has the making of a trap game. Some people forget that even though this team has lost a lot, the previous three years they had been playing for the Rose Bowl as the Big Ten champs. Ohio State still is a very talented team with one of the best coaches in the game in Urban Meyer, so expect both teams to come into the Horseshoe swinging.
