Cory 28-8 (.777)
Carter 26-10 (.722)
Here are this weeks picks.
USC at Oregon State
The Trojans are a solid team at best again, but Oregon State looks like a PAC-12 contender despite its opening week loss at home to Eastern Washington. Beavers QB Sean Mannion leads the FBS in passing yards and passing touchdowns, and is on pace to break every passing record in NCAA history. USC has been the definition of inconsistency, but have played solid since the firing of former head coach Lane Kiffin.
Caleb's Pick- Oregon State 31, USC 21
Carter's Pick- Oregon State 48, USC 24
Cory's Pick- Oregon State 31, USC 17
No. 24 Wisconsin at Iowa
The Badgers are one of the best two loss teams in the country, having only lost to Arizona State and Ohio State by a combined nine points. If it weren't for a few bad calls and missed plays the Badgers could've been in the top 10 right now. Iowa on the other hand has also done well, already exceeding their win total from last year with one game to go. This game will come down to which defense can make stops, and to who can execute a balanced offensive attack.
Caleb's Pick- Wisconsin 28, Iowa 13
Carter's Pick- Iowa 24, Wisconsin 21
Cory's Pick- Wisconsin 38, Iowa 27
Georgia vs. Florida
Time for some fun in Jacksonville. This game will eliminate one team from the SEC East race, while the other will still have a shot if Missouri can lose two more games. Florida's defense is one of the best in the country, but their offense is one of the worst and can't even move the ball at times. Georgia has been beaten and battered with the injury bug all year, but RB Todd Gurley will be back in this game, which I believe will be the difference.
Caleb's Pick- Georgia 24, Florida 20
Carter's Pick- Georgia 24, Florida 17
Cory's Pick- Georgia 35, Florida 17
No. 21 Michigan at No. 22 Michigan State
Both of these team have a lot on the line coming into this one. Michigan State has been flying under the radar this season, but the Spartans have one of the most impressive defenses in the country this year, and now their offense is finally coming into its own now too, making them a legitimate threat in the Big 10 Legends division. Unlike the Spartans, Michigan has had the spotlight on them all year. The Spartans have played solid against powers like Notre Dame and Minnesota, but have struggled to beat lowly UConn and Akron. This game will depend on which Michigan team shows up to play.
Caleb's Pick- Michigan State 27, Michigan 21
Carter's Pick- Michigan 32, Michigan State 28
Cory's Pick- Michigan 21, Michigan State 17
No. 18 Oklahoma State at No. 15 Texas Tech
Both of these teams come in at a crossroads in there season. Oklahoma State has done well up until this point, but still doesn't look like it has had all of its pieces together since their loss to West Virginia. Meanwhile Texas Tech enters after their 1st loss to Oklahoma, and they have also done well minus the loss. Look for the winner of this game to not only get things together during the game, but for them to also pick up momentum for the rest of the season.
Caleb's Pick- Texas Tech 38, Oklahoma State 31
Carter's Pick- Texas Tech 38, Oklahoma State 35
Cory's Pick- Texas Tech 35, Oklahoma State 34
No. 7 Miami at No. 3 Florida State
If you thought Florida State/Clemson was supposed to be the game of the year for the ACC, you were right if you knew what Jameis Winston was going to do to the Tigers. Now this game for the Seminoles expects to be a little more difficult. Unlike Clemson, Miami is very well balanced on offense, and could really keep up if FSU turns this into a shootout. Miami also has a better defense statistically, and are able to force turnovers when they need them (if you don't believe me just ask Florida). This game will come down to who can make the big plays, and as well all know they don't call Winston 'Famous Jameis' for nothing.
