Here are our updated standings
Caleb 20-4 (.833)
Cory 20-4 (.833)
Carter 19-5 (.792)
Here are our picks for this week.
Rutgers at No. 8 Louisville
Easily the best two teams in the American conference, Louisville looks to put away what should be their only competition the remainder of this season in Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights come in with only 1 loss, and OT match-up in Week 1 to Fresno State. Look for Rutgers to put up a fight early, but for Teddy Bridgewater and Louisville to pull away late.
Caleb's Pick- Louisville 31, Rutgers 17
Carter's Pick- Louisville 41, Rutgers 35
Cory's Pick- Louisville 45, Rutgers 10
No. 25 Missouri at No. 7 Georgia
The Bulldogs are coming off a scare last week at Tennessee, where the Vols gave them all they could handle. Missouri on the other hand routed Vanderbilt in Nashville and is playing with a lot of confidence. Georgia is banged up all around, and Missouri is clicking on all cylinders, this spells out one thing; upset.
Caleb's Pick- Missouri 35, Georgia 27
Carter's Pick- Georgia 38, Missouri 24
Cory's Pick- Georgia 35, Missouri 31
Pittsburgh at No. 24 Virginia Tech
All of a sudden the Hokies are now looking like ACC contenders. Their defense is playing like one of the best in the nation, and now look even better compared to what they did to Alabama in Week 1. The Panthers have adjusted well to life in the ACC, but face their 1st true test this week vs Virginia Tech. Pittsburgh has done well so far, but Virginia Tech's defense is too good to get past right now.
Caleb's Pick- Virginia Tech 24, Pittsburgh 13
Carter's Pick- Virginia Tech 31, Pittsburgh 24
Cory's Pick- Virginia Tech 24, Pittsburgh 13
No.12 Oklahoma vs. Texas
This was the year Texas was supposed to break through. This was supposed to be the year the Longhorns finally beat the Sooners for the 1st time since 2009. Now most experts expect Texas to get routed by an Oklahoma team that has come into it's own with QB Blake Bell. Never count Texas out of the Red River Rivalry game, but its a safe bet Oklahoma will continue their hot streak vs Texas.
Caleb's Pick- Oklahoma 31, Texas 21
Carter's Pick- Oklahoma 34, Texas 17
Cory's Pick- Oklahoma 38, Texas 13
No. 17 Florida at No. 10 LSU
Florida and LSU come in looking as good as they have been in years. Florida has finally found their QB in Tyler Murphy, although it came at the expense of Jeff Driskel, and LSU's Zach Mettenberger looks like he's the most improved player in the country. Couple those factors with the two great defenses these teams have, and your looking at a heck of a ball game.
Caleb's Pick- LSU 28, Florida 24
Carter's Pick- Florida 42, LSU 37
Cory's Pick- LSU 24, Florida 17
No. 2 Oregon at No. 16 Washington
This game looks to be a shootout. Both Oregon and Washington have explosive offenses that focus on the run game, and both QBs (Mariota and Price) are at the top of their game. This game will come down to which defense can create stops, and that could honestly be a flip of a coin. Look for this game to come down to who can make plays when they matter and avoid turnovers.
Caleb's Pick- Oregon 42, Washington 35
Carter's Pick- Oregon 48, Washington 24
Cory's Pick- Oregon 42, Washington 13
