The Chicago Cubs may be one of the best teams in the league. They have youth, they have talent, and they now have the management in their organization to bring them back to the top. Starlin Castro is evolving to be one of the best SS in the majors. He alone is the focal point for the Cubs to build their organization around. Another guy to keep an eye on is Arodys Vizcaino, the Cubs top pitching prospect. Vizcaino was acquired last summer in the trade that sent Paul Maholm to the Braves. Vizcaino is coming off of Tommy John surgery, but he may return soon for the Cubs. If he does expect him to start in the bullpen, but as the season progresses he make a move to joining the starting rotation.
This leads to the main problem of the Cubs, which is just putting it all together. If the Cubs can rise above their youth, use its' talent to the fullest extent, and hope that the "boys upstairs" can make the right decisions for this team, then the Cubs will be a force to be reckoned with. I believe that this will happen one day for the Cubs, there is too much going right for this team not to keep making progress, but until that day comes they will have to battle to not be in the cellar of the NL Central.
