As most of us found out yesterday Ex-Yankee Robinson Cano left the Bronx and headed West to the Seattle Mariners. After, losing Cano the Yankees are in a Win/Lose situation its a loss because its hard to replace someone like Robinson Cano. He was suppose to take the torch whenever Jeter left. Cano showed last year with injuries to the Granderson,. Texiera, Jeter, and A-Rod that he was capable of caring a team and that's what I think the Mariners are going to expect out of him with in his first year with the team. The Win for the Yankees is they just opened up ALOT of money for them to spend. The Yankees have already started off the Free Agent season with a bang. Signing Catcher Brian McCann, Outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury, and the resigning SP Hiroki Kuroda.
After the Yankees received news that they had lost Cano I know their wheels started turning and with Winter Meetings beginning in 2 day they are going to go all out and rebuid their team. It started the first step last night as the Yankees signed Carlos Beltran. I think some of their next moves will be a signing of Matt Garza or Ubaldo Jimenez. Which will give the Yanks extra pitching depth. I think they will also reach out to 2B Omar Infante, OF Shin-Soo Choo, and 3B Juan Uribe. Another scenario I think we could see from the Yankees is a trade for Dan Uggla from the Braves. The Yankees defiantly have the money to eat Uggla's contract and that will help the Braves pursue the trade. The Braves are looking to part ways with Uggla and make room for their young 2B prospect Tommy Le Stella. Another trade scenario could be the Yanks trading for Brandon Philips. Philips isn't on the best of terms with the Reds after making some comments about the team and front office at the end of last season. I think with these signings/trades we could see the Yanks actually compete this year. Below Is what I think will be the Yanks opening day line up and rotation.
